Anyone here remember Pacing the cage? Someone I know was playing UT99 with him the other day and he told him that his wife was dieing of cancer. I guess they have hospice at the house and all, She is 51.

My prayers go out to them both.

Ouch.....

Not knowing when is difficult, especially when you know there is a strong chance of I happening (I had the same in 95).

A quick death SOUNDS painful, but it is so much more tolerable to both the dead and those remembering them. This is just tough... :(

I just attended the wake yesterday of the guy running the racquetball programs at several health clubs around the area, including the one at my club. He was also 51, died from a stroke following a bout with pneumonia apparently.

I agree that a quicker passing is likely easier on all in many ways than a long drawn out illness. Once I can't hold a controller/ use a mouse & keyboard, pull the plug!

Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear of the sad situation you describe, Kicker.
