Lightning storm...

Destroyed both my cable modem and my wirleless router, this is the second time in 3 months this has happened, they are both on different surge protectors and besides the cable box in another room resteting itslelf, no other damage is visible, wtf??

Wow! That's pretty bad. Wonder how/why it's only the modem & router that get zapped... :(

i think they sell surge protectors that have coax connections in them.

hmm i may need to get one, because i just bought a new router and didnt want to wait for comcast to replace the cable modem and bought my own, dont want to fry that one too next time
