can anyone recommend a fax server card. i am looking for a simple one to install in a server, will hook it up with analog DID lines, so that each individual will have their own fax number and their faxes will be emailed to them

Can't you just install a modem and get software to handle the faxing? I don't know that it will do what you're asking, but ...

You mean "fax" modems shift?
I remember having one along time ago, they were VERY handy before everyone had E-mail.
But I think you are right, you can receive them manually, the difficult thing would be teh software to grab the files and mail them out. There might be something made for that but I just do not know.
The other thing that might be difficult is getting many to work at the same time, don't they all need their own interrupt # (IRQ?). I remember having problems with that a few years back (I think between the modem, sound card and Video card...).
GL!

Yeah, what we use is FaxCom and it uses a Dialogic Brooktrout fax over IP card. They aren't cheap. That's all my experience. :)
