I read something about "UT2004" in there, but I think that may just be the engine they used.

Interesting game, fun shoot-'em-up, and you can't beat the price!

I believe the reference to UT2004 was a mod to UT2004 - total conversion called Alien Swarm. Top down shooter - basically this game(although the Steam version uses the Source engine) that offered co-op. I remember the crowd that hung out here when Wes had the UT2004 Invasion server played it some when it came out.

My main computer is down and I dont have any time to fix it!!
Way too much over time at work. 1 day off in 4 weeks, cant say no to sunday double time pay!

Hmmmmmm......

Sound's stupid, but try a different location for the Steam Servers (maybe it is just having problems with load?)

Either that or your system is just f'd up.......

Mail Valve, they probably know. (And it is VERY good for a free game. i am impressed. I think it is probably worth about $10 wholesale/ $5 on special if it were to be priced... Mainly because it is not very complete. There are 6-7 maps/boards and that is it.......)

dunno what was going on, but i simply got the download link from the net and opened steam through the link and it worked.
Nothing like a work around to ignore a problem that will probably haunt me in the future! :)

yep the same as the ut2004 mod but with aliens from half life and of course many stuff fixed

Vindicator
Freeze Grenades

What a nice combo! When those shield monsters come 4 at a time, i roll in between and freeze them, bust out my vin and kill'em in 4 shots.

Vindicator is what, the sniper rifle?

I liked the twin auto pistols (like uzi's), Healing Cannon and Armor when I need to be the healer. Most people jump on the other classes so that is pretty much all I can play sometimes....

the vindicator is an overpowered rapid fire shotty.
