Engineer Goodies - TF2

OK guys, new stuff has just been added for the Engie.

What have I seen so far?

A "revenge" shotgun.
A guitar "bonk" taunt
Mini turrets
A turret remote control.
A robot hand (ever wondered why he wore one glove?)
Carrying your buildings

Last night was fun, but the servers were packed with Engies trying to get new gear and new achievements.

there are also a few bug patches and maps added to the lineup as well.

Saw you playing, bu I couldn't even launch TF2 after DLing the updates - said servers were too busy.

I kept searching. Finally was able to get in with a couple of fc guys on their server and we helped get a few achievements (some of the easier ones).

Then the server crashed for a second time and nobody came back on (either that or Steam was having problems).

Some of the levels are nice looking! I don't know about play-ability yet since most were trying to earn Engie stuff.....

I may be on again this weekend, if the boss lets me! ;)

TF2 has become so convoluted
I think i am against the whole hat/item creation thing mostly.

Both actually DA. I think some are silly (like the stack of hats), but it has kept interest in the SAME GAME. I have never seen this kind of popularity on a multiplayer only game before. Hell, they JUST INTRODUCED training with bots (I think).

I wonder if they will start to make bots fill the blanks in an incomplete team roster.... (Server option, of course).

I think some servers are excessively silly, but it is a fun game to pick up now and again.


OT, DA - We just got back to the main plot line (no more "free" Zanpaktou). What the hell is up with Ichigo's hair? When are you going to change your avatar? ;)

well...define "dead" if you are already a soul in another world? Its not like you NEED a fully functional chest! :D

I think he went SSJ2 in that one :p

Sorry for the sidetrack (on my own thread!) but yeah.

I am just glad they got off the whole Sword Personality thing. Let them market for more toys another time.

Problem is, they are still following the same broken rule sets.

1. Make everyone fly.
2. Make HUMANS, with no power, able to be thrown into solid objects w/o going Splat! (Ishida?)
3. Make a lot of concrete columns, hollow or solid depending on what you feel like, to throw people through.
4. Make sure people all grow their limbs back.
5. When doing a recap at the beginning of the episode, make sure it is as long as possible (one went for a good 8 minutes!).
6. In a fight, NEVER come in at your full strength. Fight in "normal" mode, then "Bankai", THEN show any aditional goodies like that black flame THEN put on the mask..... only to fight a bad guy that is the only one with a Super form and a SUPER SUPER form. Then "die" and come back as something that, if you were following the power scales, coud blow up all of spirit world in an eyeblink (inc. All the Shinigami)....
7. Make stuffed animals and handbags talk, remembering that they were once powerful enough to threaten everybody's existance........
8. Make a level 3 autocannon and pace it just behind enemy lines near their spawn point..... wait a sec...... ;)

Lot of fun with the new stuff but the bad thing is if you switch for another melee weapon all the stuff you already built is destroyed.

The new achievements are pretty fair, compared to say the Medic achievements. It's going to be a slog to get to 5000 sentry kills.
The wrangler is pretty cool- but it forces you to rethink how to kill engineers. When somebody is wrangling, if you are a normal attack class and get ubered, you have to kill the engie controlling *before* the sentry- on a normal sentry a heavy/demo can usually slice through it.

I can't wait for all the people playing engineer for the achievements to die down a bit though!

It is all the stuff. When you die or after a time if you are in the spawn point.
