Did you move the module files into /hack/bin/modules?did you do "chmod +x *" on both directories? BTW, forgot one important step after you change those bitrates. Go to “Resouce Editor” menu and select “Update Resources”, then reboot. IP: Logged |

I thought since Modules was in the bin directory that the * would cover it. ------------------ A fool thinks he's a wise man, A wise man knows he's a fool IP: Logged |

The * only cover the directory that you're in. It won't do anything for other directories. Not sure what the problem is. Try unzip the files again (with the smart tar thing turn off) and re-transfer them over. And chmod +x in both directory.

I got it now. I thought that I just put the file http-tt.tcl and all the files that came in that dir along together in /hack/bin/ . When i created /hack/bin/tivoweb-tcl/ and put everything in there away it went.So changed the bite info and rebooted now what? Looks alot better... ------------------ A fool thinks he's a wise man, A wise man knows he's a fool IP: Logged |

Don't forget to go to “Resouce Editor” menu and select “Update Resources”, then reboot. The video that you record in that quality mode is now SVCD standard. IP: Logged |

Yes, but Tivo has the audio at 33Khz instead of SVCD's 44Khz. Only some DVD players can play 33Khz without distortion. Try it and see if your DVD player can play it. If not, demux the Tivo mpg into video and audio. Convert the Audio from 33K to 44K, then mux them back. Still take a lot less time then recompiling the entire video file.

I always use TivoApps to extract data out. I think I posted the link here before. It works a lot better than the web interface.IP: Logged |

Make sure hit ENTER after entering EACH number. The web interface can only process ONE number at a time. I also did the same change for AltBitRate. I'm not sure if I need it, but just to be on the safe side. When you're done, restart Tivo. All Medium Quality recording is now 480x480 with MaxBitrate of 2400k. Hehe, I didnt know if I should just start a new thread.Well after getting the DVD writer I made my first DVD from some of the tivo stuff. I think the bitrate is too high and motion looks funny. So i used TMPGE's dvd template and MYDVD to auth it. Can you look at the template and give me some hints? And have you ever used MYDVD? ------------------ aka {950}Ash A fool thinks he's a wise man, A wise man knows he's a fool IP: Logged |

I haven't done any DVD with Tivo's video yet. Moreover, I don't like MyDVD at all. Too little control on what I can do with the DVD menu system.IP: Logged |

I use Pinnacle Impression SE (not the Pro version). Mine came with my Mpeg2 capture card and it was the first DVD authoring software I used. Creating the DVD menu is very hard comparing to MyDVD. However, there is no limitation on what you can do on the DVD menu. You can create commercial grade menu just like those in the retail DVDs.

To reset the TMPEGenc's 30 days limit, run this to take care of the registry info: http://www.myunreal.com/temp2/TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg
